School meals are cooked on the premises and offer excellent value for money.

Some children prefer a packed lunch from home. Parents are asked to ensure that packed lunches support a balanced diet and that sweets are not included. Packed lunches should be in a clearly named container.

Children are supervised in the dining room by a Senior member of Staff and Midday Supervisors.

School meals offer a healthy balance within a three week ‘Pupil Choice’ menu. There is always a vegetarian option as well as a range of salad items and fresh vegetables. Pupils choose what they would like to eat from the day’s menu at registration time. They are then guaranteed to receive this option at lunch time. Parents have sight of the three week menu in advance, so they can talk about preferences at home.

Pupils will be able to select a Meat, Vegetarian or Packed Lunch every day. Every morning at registration children's choice from menu selection will be noted and the appropriate wrist band issued. Children keep the band on their wrist for the remainder of the morning handing it in at lunchtime after receiving their meal.
